¹³ But ^(A)all things that are ^[a]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

⁸ And when He has ^(A)come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: ^9 (B)of sin, because they do not believe in Me; ^10 (C)of righteousness, ^(D)because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;

^16 (A)For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten ^(B)Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, ^(A)that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For ^(B)everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

²⁰ Behold, ^(A)I stand at the door and knock. ^(B)If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, ^(C)I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Trained by Saving Grace

¹¹ For ^(A)the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

⁴⁷ And if anyone hears My words and does not ^[a]believe, ^(A)I do not judge him; for ^(B)I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. ^48 (C)He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—^(D)the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
