50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood(A) cannot inherit the kingdom of God,(B) nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.(C) 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery:(D) We will not all sleep,(E) but we will all be changed(F) 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,(G) the dead(H) will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable(I) must clothe itself with the imperishable,(J) and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[a](K)

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”[b](L)

56 The sting of death is sin,(M) and the power of sin is the law.(N) 57 But thanks be to God!(O) He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.(P)

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,(Q) because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.(R)

The Collection for the Lord’s People

16 Now about the collection(S) for the Lord’s people:(T) Do what I told the Galatian(U) churches to do. On the first day of every week,(V) each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.(W) Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve(X) and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.

  2. 1 Corinthians 15:55 Hosea 13:14

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

16 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

Our Final Victory

50 Now this I say, brethren, that (A)flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a [a]mystery: (B)We shall not all sleep, (C)but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. (D)For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and (E)this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: (F)“Death is swallowed up in victory.”

55 “O(G)[b] Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and (H)the strength of sin is the law. 57 (I)But thanks be to God, who gives us (J)the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 (K)Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing (L)that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Collection for the Saints

16 Now concerning (M)the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: (N)On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come. And when I come, (O)whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem. (P)But if it is fitting that I go also, they will go with me.
