⁴ I saw the ram ^(A)butting westward, northward, and southward, and no other beasts could stand against him nor was there anyone to rescue from his ^[a]power, but ^(B)he did as he pleased and made himself great.

¹⁴ But ^(A)the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus ^(B)had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, “^(C)There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.” ¹⁵ But ^(D)the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, ^(E)does each of you on the Sabbath not untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it? ¹⁶ And this woman, ^(F)a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom ^(G)Satan has bound for ^[a]eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?”
