Exodus 16:3-5
New American Standard Bible 1995
3 The sons of Israel said to them, “(A)Would that we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, (B)when we sat by the pots of [a]meat, when we ate bread to the full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, (C)I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may (D)test them, whether or not they will walk in My [b]instruction. 5 (E)On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.”
