New English Translation
48 As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, your sister Sodom and her daughters never behaved as wickedly as you and your daughters have behaved.
49 “‘See here—this was the iniquity[a] of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters had majesty, abundance of food, and enjoyed carefree ease, but they did not help[b] the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and practiced abominable deeds before me. Therefore, when I saw it I removed them.

49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom:(D) She and her daughters were arrogant,(E) overfed and unconcerned;(F) they did not help the poor and needy.(G) 50 They were haughty(H) and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.(I)
