³² It will not be like the covenant^(A)
    I made with their ancestors^(B)
when I took them by the hand
    to lead them out of Egypt,^(C)
because they broke my covenant,
    though I was a husband^(D) to^[a] them,^[b]”
declares the Lord.

¹⁹ I will betroth^(A) you to me forever;
    I will betroth you in^[a] righteousness and justice,^(B)
    in^[b] love and compassion.^(C)

²⁰ I will betroth you in^[a] faithfulness,
    and you will acknowledge^(A) the Lord.^(B)
