³⁷ Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find ^(A)on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that ^(B)he will ^[a]prepare himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and he will come up and serve them. ^38 (C)Whether he comes in the ^[b]second watch, or even in the ^[c]third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.

³³ “Watch out, ^(A)stay alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is.

³⁵ Therefore, ^(A)stay alert—for you do not know when the ^[a]master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or ^(B)when the rooster crows, or ^(C)in the morning—

³⁷ What I say to you I say to all: ‘^(A)Stay alert!’”
