²⁸ Seeing Jesus, he cried out [with a terrible voice from the depths of his throat] and fell down before Him [in dread and terror], and shouted loudly, “^[a]What business do we have [in common] with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me [before the appointed time of judgment]!”

⁴¹ Demons also were coming out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that He was the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).

⁷ and screaming with a loud voice, he said, “^[a]What business do we have in common with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore you by God [swear to me], do not torment me!”^(A)

¹¹ Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and screamed out, “You are the Son of God!”

²⁹ And they screamed out, “^[a]What business do we have [in common] with each other, Son of God? Have You come to torment us before the appointed time [of judgment]?”^(A)

¹⁹ You believe that ^[a]God is one; you do well [to believe that]. The demons also believe [that], and shudder and bristle [in awe-filled terror—they have seen His wrath]!^(A)
