Mark 13:18-20

18 Pray that it won't happen in winter.[a] 19 (A) This will be the worst time of suffering since God created the world, and nothing this terrible will ever happen again. 20 If the Lord doesn't make the time shorter, no one will be left alive. But because of his chosen and special ones, he will make the time shorter.

18 Pray that this will not take place in winter, 19 because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world,(A) until now—and never to be equaled again.(B)
20 “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
