Lay Up Treasures in Heaven^(A)

^19 (B)“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; ^20 (C)but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. ²¹ For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

¹⁸ Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, ¹⁹ and the ^(A)cares of this world, ^(B)the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

With God All Things Are Possible^(A)

^23 (B)Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” ²⁴ And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is ^[a]for those ^(C)who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!
