15 so that you will [a]prove yourselves to be (A)blameless and innocent, (B)children of God above reproach in the midst of a (C)crooked and perverse generation, among whom you [b](D)appear as [c]lights in the world, 16 holding firmly the word of life, so that on (E)the day of Christ I can take pride because I did not (F)run in vain nor (G)labor in vain.

15 so that you may become blameless(A) and pure, “children of God(B) without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a](C) Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ(D) that I did not run(E) or labor in vain.(F)
