⁵Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

²⁹What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short.^(A) From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not;

²⁹But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

¹¹These things happened to them as examples^(A) and were written down as warnings for us,^(B) on whom the culmination of the ages has come.^(C)

¹¹Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
