Psalm 68:16-18

16 Why gaze with envy, you mountain peaks,
at the mountain God desired for his abode?
The Lord will dwell there forever!(A)
17 God’s chariots are tens of thousands,
thousands and thousands;(B)
the Lord is among them in the sanctuary[a]
as he was at Sinai.(C)
18 You ascended to the heights, taking away captives;
you received gifts from[b] people,
even from the rebellious,
so that the Lord God might dwell there.[c](D)

16 why gaze in envy, you rugged mountain,
at the mountain where God chooses(A) to reign,
where the Lord himself will dwell forever?(B)
17 The chariots(C) of God are tens of thousands
and thousands of thousands;(D)
the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary.[a]
18 When you ascended(E) on high,(F)
you took many captives;(G)
you received gifts from people,(H)
even from[b] the rebellious(I)—
that you,[c] Lord God, might dwell there.
