15 Then[a] the angel[b] said to me, “The waters you saw (where the prostitute is seated) are peoples, multitudes,[c] nations, and languages. 16 The[d] ten horns that you saw, and the beast—these will hate the prostitute and make her desolate and naked. They[e] will consume her flesh and burn her up with fire.[f] 17 For God has put into their minds[g] to carry out his purpose[h] by making[i] a decision[j] to give their royal power[k] to the beast until the words of God are fulfilled.[l]
