8 On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.(A)[a] This is the message of faith that we proclaim: 9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”(B) and believe in your heart(C) that God raised Him from the dead,(D) you will be saved.

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a](A) that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare(B) with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”(C) and believe(D) in your heart that God raised him from the dead,(E) you will be saved.(F)
