Paul Defends His Ministry

10 ^(A)I, Paul, myself entreat you, by the ^(B)meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!—

⁷ but ^(A)emptied himself, by taking the form of a ^(B)servant,^{[a] (C)}being born in the likeness of men.

⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(A)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(B)even death on a cross.

⁵ “Blessed are the ^(A)meek, for they ^(B)shall inherit the earth.
