Ephesians 5:3-12
New American Standard Bible
3 But (A)sexual immorality [a]or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among [b]saints; 4 and there must be no (B)filthiness [c]or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which (C)are not fitting, but rather (D)giving of thanks. 5 For this you know with certainty, that (E)no sexually immoral or [d]impure or greedy person, which [e]amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom (F)of Christ and God.
6 (G)See that no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things (H)the wrath of God comes upon (I)the [f]sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become (J)partners with them; 8 for (K)you were once (L)darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as (M)children of light 9 (for (N)the fruit of the light consists in all (O)goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 [g](P)as you try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 (Q)Do not participate in the useless (R)deeds of (S)darkness, but instead even (T)expose them; 12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
