³⁵ But I will take the kingdom away from his ·son [^Lson’s hand], and I will ·allow you to rule over [give you] the ten tribes. ³⁶ I will ·allow Solomon’s son to continue to rule over [^Lgive to his son] one tribe so that David, my servant will always have a ·descendant [^Llamp before me; ^Cpossibly a metaphor for the reign of a king] in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to ·be worshiped [^Lput my name]. ³⁷ But I will make you ·rule [reign] over everything you ·want [desire].
