37 Then in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, his wife told him those words, and his heart died within him, and he was like [a]a stone.

38 And about ten days after, the Lord smote Nabal, that he died.

39 ¶ Now when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord, that hath [b]judged the cause of my rebuke of the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the Lord hath recompensed the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. Also David sent to commune with Abigail, to [c]take her to his wife.
