⁷ Therefore, to have legal disputes against one another is already a moral failure for you.^(A) Why not rather put up with injustice?^(B) Why not rather be cheated?^{(C) 8} Instead, you act unjustly and cheat—and you do this to believers!

⁵ Do not deprive^(A) one another sexually—except when you agree for a time, to devote yourselves to^[a] prayer. Then come together again; otherwise, Satan may tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

⁵ and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness^[a] is a way to material gain.^[b](A)

⁴ Look! The pay that you withheld from the workers^(A) who reaped your fields cries out, and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.^[a](B)
