^27 (A)Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him. And Baasha struck him down at ^(B)Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, for Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.

²⁹ And as soon as he was king, he killed all the house of Jeroboam. He left to the house of Jeroboam not one that breathed, until he had destroyed it, ^(A)according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite.

⁴ And the Lord said to him, “Call his name Jezreel, for in just a little while ^(A)I will punish the house of Jehu for the blood of Jezreel, and ^(B)I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.
