^20 (A)He was thirty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem. And he departed ^(B)with no one's regret. ^(C)They buried him in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.

²⁵ When they had departed from him, leaving him ^(A)severely wounded, ^(B)his servants conspired against him because of the blood of ^(C)the son^[a] of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died, and they buried him in the city of David, ^(D)but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.
