¹⁹ Now because of the greatness which He granted him, all the peoples, nations, and populations of all ^[a]languages trembled and feared in his presence; ^(A)whomever he wished, he killed, and whomever he wished, he spared alive; and whomever he wished he elevated, and whomever he wished he humbled.

⁴ I saw the ram ^(A)butting westward, northward, and southward, and no other beasts could stand against him nor was there anyone to rescue from his ^[a]power, but ^(B)he did as he pleased and made himself great.

¹⁶ But he who comes against him will ^(A)do as he pleases, and ^(B)no one will be able to withstand him; he will also stay for a time in the ^[a](C)Beautiful Land, with destruction in his hand.

³⁶ “Then the king will ^(A)do as he pleases, and he will exalt himself and ^(B)boast against every god and will ^(C)speak ^[a]dreadful things against the ^(D)God of gods; and he will be successful until the ^(E)indignation is finished, because that which is ^(F)determined will be done.
