²¹ See, the Lord your God has set the land before you. Go up, take possession, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has told you. ^(A)Do not fear or be dismayed.’

^18 (A)you shall not be afraid of them but you shall ^(B)remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt,

⁹ Have I not commanded you? ^(A)Be strong and courageous. ^(B)Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

8 And the Lord said to Joshua, ^(A)“Do not fear and do not be dismayed. Take all the fighting men with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, ^(B)I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, his city, and his land.

²⁵ And Joshua said to them, ^(A)“Do not be afraid or dismayed; be strong and courageous. ^(B)For thus the Lord will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.”
