Moses at the Burning Bush^(A)

3 Now Moses was tending the flock of ^(B)Jethro his father-in-law, ^(C)the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to ^(D)Horeb, ^(E)the mountain of God.

Moses Goes to Egypt

¹⁸ So Moses went and returned to ^(A)Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brethren who are in Egypt, and see whether they are still alive.”

And Jethro said to Moses, ^(B)“Go in peace.”

¹² Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, ^[a]took a burnt ^(A)offering and other sacrifices to offer to God. And Aaron came with all the elders of Israel ^(B)to eat bread with Moses’ father-in-law before God.
