¹⁰ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and ^(A)consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.

¹⁴ So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.

¹⁵ And he said to the people, “Be ready for the third day; ^(A)do not come near your wives.”

^7 (A)Consecrate^[a] yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.

¹⁸ Then you shall say to the people, ^[a]‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept ^(A)in the hearing of the Lord, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat.

¹³ Get up, ^(A)sanctify^[a] the people, and say, ^(B)‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the Lord God of Israel: “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.”

⁵ And he said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. ^(A)Sanctify^[a] yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice.

⁵ So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and ^[a]sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning ^(A)and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and ^(B)cursed^[b] God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.
