³⁷ For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy.^(A)

¹⁰ so that you can distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean,^(A)

¹⁹ When they go out into the outer court where the people are, they are to take off the clothes they have been ministering in and are to leave them in the sacred rooms, and put on other clothes, so that the people are not consecrated^(A) through contact with their garments.^(B)

²⁰ He said to me, “This is the place where the priests are to cook the guilt offering and the sin offering^[a] and bake the grain offering, to avoid bringing them into the outer court and consecrating^(A) the people.”^(B)

¹² If someone carries consecrated meat^(A) in the fold of their garment, and that fold touches some bread or stew, some wine, olive oil or other food, does it become consecrated?^(B)’”

The priests answered, “No.”
