Genesis 18:8-10
Amplified Bible
8 Then he took [a]curds and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before the men; and he stood beside them under the tree while they ate.
9 Then they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” And he said, “There, in the tent.” 10 He said, “I will surely return to you at this [b]time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him.(A)

- Genesis 18:8 Or sour milk, or perhaps butter. It may have served as a kind of condiment for the bread.
- Genesis 18:10 Lit when the time revives. Some regard this as a reference to springtime. Others think it means “the time when the life is ready.”

New International Version
8 He then brought some curds(A) and milk(B) and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them.(C) While they ate, he stood near them under a tree.
9 “Where is your wife Sarah?”(D) they asked him.
“There, in the tent,(E)” he said.
10 Then one of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year,(F) and Sarah your wife will have a son.”(G)
Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.
