Isaiah 24:5-7
American Standard Version
5 The earth also is polluted under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are found guilty: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. 7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merry-hearted do sigh.

New International Version
5 The earth is defiled(A) by its people;
they have disobeyed(B) the laws,
violated the statutes
and broken the everlasting covenant.(C)
6 Therefore a curse(D) consumes the earth;
its people must bear their guilt.
Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up,(E)
and very few are left.
7 The new wine dries up(F) and the vine withers;(G)
all the merrymakers groan.(H)
