⁶ He shakes the earth^(A) from its place
    and makes its pillars tremble.^(B)

¹⁶ Do you know how the clouds hang poised,^(A)
    those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?^(B)

⁷ The earth trembled^(A) and quaked,^(B)
    and the foundations of the mountains shook;^(C)
    they trembled because he was angry.^(D)
8 Smoke rose from his nostrils;^(E)
    consuming fire^(F) came from his mouth,
    burning coals^(G) blazed out of it.
⁹ He parted the heavens and came down;^(H)
    dark clouds^(I) were under his feet.
¹⁰ He mounted the cherubim^(J) and flew;
    he soared^(K) on the wings of the wind.^(L)
11 He made darkness his covering,^(M) his canopy^(N) around him—
    the dark rain clouds of the sky.
¹² Out of the brightness of his presence^(O) clouds advanced,
    with hailstones^(P) and bolts of lightning.^(Q)
13 The Lord thundered^(R) from heaven;
    the voice of the Most High resounded.^[a]
14 He shot his arrows^(S) and scattered the enemy,
    with great bolts of lightning^(T) he routed them.^(U)
15 The valleys of the sea were exposed
    and the foundations^(V) of the earth laid bare
at your rebuke,^(W) Lord,
    at the blast of breath from your nostrils.^(X)

² The Lord wraps^(A) himself in light^(B) as with a garment;
    he stretches^(C) out the heavens^(D) like a tent^(E)

²⁸ when he established the clouds above^(A)
    and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,^(B)

²² He sits enthroned^(A) above the circle of the earth,
    and its people are like grasshoppers.^(B)
He stretches out the heavens^(C) like a canopy,^(D)
    and spreads them out like a tent^(E) to live in.^(F)
