⁷ So I will send fire on the wall of Gaza
And it will consume her citadels.
⁸ I will also eliminate every inhabitant from ^(A)Ashdod,
As well as him who holds the scepter, from ^(B)Ashkelon;
And I will direct My ^[a]power against Ekron,
And the remnant of the ^(C)Philistines will perish,”
Says the Lord ^[b]God.

⁴ For ^(A)Gaza will be abandoned,
And Ashkelon will become a desolation;
The inhabitants of ^(B)Ashdod will be driven out at noon,
And ^(C)Ekron will be uprooted.

⁷ And the coast will be
For the ^(A)remnant of the house of Judah,
They will ^(B)drive sheep to pasture on it.
In the houses of Ashkelon they will lie down at evening;
For the Lord their God will ^(C)care for them
And ^(D)restore their fortunes.
