³ The priest is to examine the sore on the skin, and if the hair in the sore has turned white and the sore appears to be more than skin deep, it is a defiling skin disease. When the priest examines that person, he shall pronounce them ceremonially unclean.^(A)

⁹ “When anyone has a defiling skin disease, they must be brought to the priest.

¹⁵ When the priest sees the raw flesh, he shall pronounce them unclean. The raw flesh is unclean; they have a defiling disease.^(A)

⁶ Then the Lord said, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” So Moses put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, the skin was leprous^[a]—it had become as white as snow.^(A)

³ The priest is to go outside the camp and examine them.^(A) If they have been healed of their defiling skin disease,^[a](B)

³² These are the regulations for anyone who has a defiling skin disease^(A) and who cannot afford the regular offerings^(B) for their cleansing.

² “Command the Israelites to send away from the camp anyone who has a defiling skin disease^[a](A) or a discharge^(B) of any kind, or who is ceremonially unclean^(C) because of a dead body.^(D)

⁸ In cases of defiling skin diseases,^[a] be very careful to do exactly as the Levitical^(A) priests instruct you. You must follow carefully what I have commanded them.^(B)
