²¹ “You are not to make any of your children pass through the fire to Molech.^(A) Do not profane the name^(B) of your God; I am Yahweh.

¹² You must not swear falsely by My name, profaning the name of your God;^(A) I am Yahweh.

² “Tell Aaron and his sons to deal respectfully with the holy offerings of the Israelites that they have consecrated to Me, so they do not profane My holy name;^(A) I am Yahweh.

³² You must not profane My holy name; I must be treated as holy^(A) among the Israelites. I am Yahweh who sets you apart,

¹⁶ But you have changed your minds^(A) and profaned My name.^(B) Each has taken back his male and female slaves who had been freed to go wherever they wanted, and you have again subjugated them to be your slaves.

²⁰ When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name,^(A) because it was said about them, ‘These are the people of Yahweh, yet they had to leave His land in exile.’

⁷ So I will make My holy name known among My people Israel and will no longer allow it to be profaned. Then the nations will know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel.^(A)
