⁹ As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone^(A) what you have seen, until the Son of Man^(B) has been raised from the dead.”^(C)

²³ They will kill him,^(A) and on the third day^(B) he will be raised to life.”^(C) And the disciples were filled with grief.

Jesus Predicts His Death^(A)

³¹ He then began to teach them that the Son of Man^(B) must suffer many things^(C) and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law,^(D) and that he must be killed^(E) and after three days^(F) rise again.^(G)

³¹ because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Man^(A) is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him,^(B) and after three days^(C) he will rise.”^(D)

³⁴ who will mock him and spit on him, flog him^(A) and kill him.^(B) Three days later^(C) he will rise.”^(D)
