¹⁵ Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might trap Him in talk.

¹⁶ And they sent their disciples to Him, with the Herodians, saying, “Master, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God truly. Nor do You care for anyone. For You do not look on the appearance of men.

¹⁷ “Therefore, tell us what You think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
