¹⁸ For I assure you: Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter^[a] or one stroke of a letter will pass from the law until all things are accomplished.

¹⁷ But it is easier^(A) for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the law to drop out.

²³ since you have been born again^(A)—not of perishable seed^(B) but of imperishable—through the living and enduring word of God.^(C)

And this is the word that was preached as the gospel to you.
