³⁷ But in all these things we overwhelmingly ^(A)conquer through ^(B)Him who loved us.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children share in ^[a](A)flesh and blood, ^(B)He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that ^(C)through death He might destroy ^(D)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and free those who through ^(E)fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. ¹⁶ For clearly He does not ^[b]give help to angels, but He gives help to the ^[c]descendants of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore, in all things He ^[d]had ^(F)to be made like His brothers so that He might ^(G)become a merciful and faithful ^(H)high priest in ^(I)things pertaining to God, to ^(J)make ^[e]propitiation for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For since He Himself was ^[f](K)tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are ^[g]tempted.

⁴ For ^[a]whoever has been ^(A)born of God ^(B)overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.

⁴ and He will ^(A)wipe away every tear from their eyes; and ^(B)there will no longer be any death; ^(C)there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; ^(D)the first things have passed away.”
