²² who also ^(A)sealed us and ^(B)gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a ^[a]pledge.

¹² to the end that ^[a]we who were the first to hope in the ^[b]Christ would be ^(A)to the praise of His glory. ¹³ In ^[c]Him, ^[d]you also, after listening to ^(B)the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also ^[e]believed, you were ^(C)sealed in ^[f]Him with ^(D)the Holy Spirit of the promise,

^30 (A)Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, ^[a]by whom you were ^(B)sealed for the day of redemption.

³² And we are ^(A)witnesses ^[a]of these things; and ^(B)so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
