¹² giving thanks to ^(A)the Father, who has qualified us ^[a]to share in ^(B)the inheritance of the ^[b]saints in ^(C)light.

The Incomparable Christ

^13 [c]For He rescued us from the ^[d](D)domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of ^[e](E)His beloved Son,

²⁶ If anyone ^[a]serves Me, he must follow Me; and ^(A)where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone ^[b]serves Me, the Father will ^(B)honor him.

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, ^(A)I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that ^(B)where I am, there you also will be.

²⁴ Father, I desire that ^(A)they also, whom You have given Me, ^(B)be with Me where I am, so that they may see My ^(C)glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before ^(D)the foundation of the world.

⁵ even when we were ^(A)dead ^[a]in our wrongdoings, made us alive together ^[b]with Christ (^(B)by grace you have been saved), ⁶ and ^(C)raised us up with Him, and ^(D)seated us with Him in ^(E)the heavenly places in ^(F)Christ Jesus,

²² But ^(A)you have come to Mount Zion and to ^(B)the city of ^(C)the living God, ^(D)the heavenly Jerusalem, and to ^(E)myriads of ^[a]angels, ²³ to the general assembly and ^(F)church of the firstborn who ^(G)are enrolled in heaven, and to God, ^(H)the Judge of all, and to the ^(I)spirits of the righteous made perfect,

Second Coming Foretold

²⁰ Now He was questioned by the Pharisees ^(A)as to when the kingdom of God was coming, and He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God is not coming with ^[a](B)signs that can be observed; ²¹ nor will ^(C)they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is ^[b]in your midst.”
