²⁵ For ^(A)whoever wants to save his ^[a]life will lose it; but whoever loses his ^[b]life for My sake will find it.

^25 (A)The one who loves his ^[a]life loses it, and the one who ^(B)hates his ^[b]life in this world will keep it ^[c]to eternal life.

³⁵ For ^(A)whoever wants to save his ^[a]life will lose it, but whoever loses his ^[b]life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

^39 (A)The one who has found his ^[a]life will lose it, and the one who has lost his ^[b]life on My account will find it.

^33 (A)Whoever strives to ^[a]save his ^[b]life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will keep it.

^11 (A)The statement is trustworthy:

²⁴ For ^(A)whoever wants to save his ^[a]life will lose it, but whoever loses his ^[b]life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.

12 Therefore ^(A)I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to ^(B)present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, ^[a]acceptable to God, which is your ^[b]spiritual service of worship.
