Proverbs 15:7-9

7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge,
but the heart of fools is not steadfast.[a]
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,(A)
but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
but he loves one who pursues justice.(B)

- 15:7 “Lips” and “heart” are a fixed pair, in Proverbs signifying, respectively, expression and source. The wise disseminate what they have in their heart, but the wicked are unsound even in the source of their words, their hearts.
