23 He threatened[a] to destroy them,
but[b] Moses, his chosen one, interceded with him[c]
and turned back his destructive anger.[d]
24 They rejected the fruitful land;[e]
they did not believe his promise.[f]
25 They grumbled in their tents;[g]
they did not obey[h] the Lord.
