²⁷ and ^(A)He who searches the hearts knows what ^(B)the mind of the Spirit is, because He ^(C)intercedes for the ^[a]saints according to the will of God.

²³ And I will kill her children with ^[a]plague, and all the churches will know that I am He who ^(A)searches the ^[b]minds and hearts; and ^(B)I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

⁷ But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the ^[a](A)Helper will not come to you; but if I go, ^(B)I will send Him to you. ⁸ And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment: ⁹ regarding sin, ^(C)because they do not believe in Me;

⁹ “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and ^(A)serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing ^[a]mind; ^(B)for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. ^(C)If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

³⁵ and a sword will pierce your own soul—to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”

¹³ But all things become visible ^(A)when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.
