6 For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will [a]rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over [a]his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.
2 [a]But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will come forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His times of coming forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”
52 The Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets as well; and yet You say, ‘If anyone follows My word, he will never taste of death.’53 You are not greater than our father Abraham, who died, are You? The prophets died too. Whom do You make Yourself out to be?”54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God’;55 and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him. And if I say that I do not know Him, I will be a liar like you; but I do know Him, and I follow His word.56 Your father Abraham was overjoyed that he would see My day, and he saw it and rejoiced.”57 So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?”58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham [a]was born, [b]I am.”59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and left the temple grounds.

Message to the Seven Churches
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is, and who was, and who [a]is to come, and from the [b]seven spirits who are before His throne,5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—6 and He made us into a kingdom, priests to [c]His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.7 Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. [d]So it is to be. Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who [e]is to come, the Almighty.”
