121 私は山の神々に助けを仰ぐべきなのでしょうか。
2 いいえ、真の助けは、
山々を造られた主から来るのです。
主は、天をもお造りになりました。
3-4 このお方は、私が決してつまずいたり、
足をすべらせたり、倒れたりしないように
守ってくださいます。
また、眠り込んだりもなさいません。
いつも大きく目を見開いて、
見守っていてくださいます。
5 主は自ら、あなたのために配慮してくださるのです。
危険からも守ってくださいます。
6 昼も夜も注意深く、
7 あらゆる害悪を寄せつけず、
あなたいのちを守られます。
8 主はあなたが出て行くのも帰って来るのも見守り、
いつもあなたを守ってくださいます。

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven(A) and earth.(B)
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches(C) over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
