2 (여자) 나는 사론의 [a]장미요 골짜기의 백합화라네.
2 (남자) 내가 사랑하는 님을 다른 여자와 비교해 보니 가시나무 가운데 있는 백합화 같구나.
3 (여자) 내가 사랑하는 사람을 다른 남자와 비교해 보니 숲속의 사과나무 같구나. 내가 그의 그늘에 앉아서 기뻐하며 그의 열매를 맛있게 먹는구나.
4 그가 나를 데리고 연회장으로 들어가서 나에게 사랑의 기를 치켜올렸네.
5 건포도로 내 힘을 회복시키고 사과로 나를 시원하게 해 다오. 내가 사랑 때문에 병이 들었단다.
6 그가 나에게 그의 왼손을 베게 하고 오른손으로 나를 안는구나.
7 예루살렘 여자들아, 내가 너희에게 [b]간절히 부탁한다. 제발 우리의 사랑을 방해하지 말아다오.
두 번째 노래
8 (여자) 사랑하는 님의 목소리가 들리는구나. 그가 산을 넘고 들을 지나 달려온다.
9 내 사랑하는 님은 노루와 어린 사슴 같구나. 그가 벽 뒤에 서서 창틈으로 들여다본다네.
10 내 사랑하는 님이 말한다. (남자) 나의 사랑, 나의 님이여, 일어나 함께 갑시다.
11 겨울도 지나고 비도 그쳤으며
12 꽃이 피고 새가 노래하는 때가 되어 비둘기 소리가 들리고 있소.
13 무화과가 맺히기 시작하고 포도나무가 꽃이 피어 향기를 날립니다. 나의 사랑, 나의 님이여, 일어나 함께 갑시다.
14 바위 틈에 숨은 비둘기 같은 님이여, 그대의 사랑스런 얼굴을 보이고 그대의 아름다운 목소리를 들려 주오.
15 여우를 잡아라. 포도원을 해치는 작은 여우를 잡아라. 우리의 포도원에 꽃이 피었다.
16 (여자) 님은 나의 사랑, 나는 님의 사랑, 그가 백합화 가운데서 양떼를 먹이는구나.
17 내 사랑하는 님이시여, 날이 새기 전, 어두움이 사라지기 전에 돌아와서 베델산의 노루와 어린 사슴처럼 되어 주세요.

is my darling among the young women.

3 Like an apple[c] tree among the trees of the forest
is my beloved(D) among the young men.
I delight(E) to sit in his shade,
and his fruit is sweet to my taste.(F)
4 Let him lead me to the banquet hall,(G)
and let his banner(H) over me be love.
5 Strengthen me with raisins,
refresh me with apples,(I)
for I am faint with love.(J)
6 His left arm is under my head,
and his right arm embraces me.(K)
7 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you(L)
by the gazelles and by the does of the field:
Do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires.(M)
8 Listen! My beloved!
Look! Here he comes,
leaping across the mountains,
bounding over the hills.(N)
9 My beloved is like a gazelle(O) or a young stag.(P)
Look! There he stands behind our wall,
gazing through the windows,
peering through the lattice.
10 My beloved spoke and said to me,
“Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
11 See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
12 Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
13 The fig tree forms its early fruit;(Q)
the blossoming(R) vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.”

in the hiding places on the mountainside,
show me your face,
let me hear your voice;
for your voice is sweet,
