39 They were there with David for three days, eating and drinking, because their fellow citizens[a] had prepared provisions for them. 40 Also, their neighbors from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali were bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen, including provisions of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, olive oil, oxen, and sheep in abundance, because there was joy in Israel.

39 The men spent three days there with David, eating and drinking,(A) for their families had supplied provisions for them. 40 Also, their neighbors from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun and Naphtali came bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules and oxen. There were plentiful supplies(B) of flour, fig cakes, raisin(C) cakes, wine, olive oil, cattle and sheep, for there was joy(D) in Israel.
