6 B’nayah and Yachzi’el the cohanim blew the trumpets continually before the ark for the covenant of God. 7 It was on that same day that David first ordered that thanks be given to Adonai through Asaf and his kinsmen:

8 Give thanks to Adonai! Call on his name!
Make his deeds known among the peoples.

6 and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.

7 That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise(A) to the Lord in this manner:

8 Give praise(B) to the Lord, proclaim his name;
    make known among the nations(C) what he has done.
