⁶Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests with trumpets, were to be continually before the Ark of the Covenant of God.

⁷On that day David first gave the directive to give thanks to the Lord through the ministry of Asaph and his associates:

⁸Give thanks to the Lord.
Call on his name.
Make known his deeds among the peoples.

New International Version

⁶and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.

⁷That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise^(A) to the Lord in this manner:

⁸Give praise^(B) to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations^(C) what he has done.
