⁶Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, blew the trumpets. They blew them at regular times in front of the ark of the covenant of God.

⁷That day was the first time David appointed Asaph and his helpers. He appointed them to give praise to the Lord with these words.

⁸Give praise to the Lord. Make his name known.
Tell the nations what he has done.

⁶and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.

⁷That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise^(A) to the Lord in this manner:

⁸Give praise^(B) to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations^(C) what he has done.
